Unaccompanied voices in harmony - about twenty singers - a wide range of modern music, world music, renaissance music, and anything that takes our interest - singing for pleasure, for the social fun, for the technical challenge, and for quality performances: that is the essence of Rudsambee.
We enjoy bringing new surprises to our audiences with each concert. Recently we've featured Ieuan Wyn's eisteddfod-medal-winning Cariad, Irish and Syrian/Iraqi folk songs, works by Lauridsen, Britten, Kodály, Sweelinck, Busto, Tormis, Richard Rodgers, Górecki, and much more.
Regular performance venues include St Giles Cathedral, Rosslyn Chapel, and the National Portrait Gallery of Scotland.
We tour occasionally, compete rarely but successfully, and enjoy visits and exchanges with other choirs.
Our director is Derrick Morgan, who took over from Ciara Coleman in October 2016.
