We’re looking forward now to the Festive season, preparing a new selection for our two Christmas concerts over the weekend of 13th/14th December – a Saturday lunchtime concert in George Street’s Edinburgh New Town Church (opposite the Dome), and then on the Sunday evening at 6pm, on the other side of the valley, in the wonderful setting of St Giles’ Cathedral in the Old Town.
We focused our summer 2025 programme of music on a Scottish theme with settings of Rabbie Burns and traditional Gaelic songs by composers including our founder Sheena Phillips, Hugh Roberton, Cedric Thorpe Davie and Joanna Forbes L’Estrange. We also included some innovative contemporary music from James MacMillan, Peter Maxwell Davies and Tom Cunningham.
If you didn’t catch us over this summer and have a passion for Scottish song, we’ll be presenting a Burns-themed concert in the New Year in Rosslyn Chapel – it’s always a treat to sing there!
Keep an eye out for news of that to follow.
